Description
Zelle® has partnered with major banks and credit unions in the U.S. to give you a fast, secure and easy way to send money to friends and family. Funds can be transferred quickly, directly from one bank account to another. If your bank or credit union offers Zelle, you can find it in your mobile banking app or online banking. If not, you can use the Zelle app to easily send money to people who have registered with their financial institution.
Zelle. That’s How Money Moves®.
Simply use the recipient’s email address or U.S. mobile phone number to easily and securely send money to nearly anyone you know and trust. Even better, Zelle doesn’t charge you anything to use the service. (Mobile carrier or bank fees may apply).
To get started:
- Download the Zelle app.
- Sign up with a Visa® or Mastercard® debit card linked to a U.S. checking account; or
- Sign up for a U.S. checking account with your online banking username and password (if your bank supports this feature*).
- Select the person you want to send or request money from by entering their U.S. mobile phone number or email address.
- Confirm the amount and click Send. If the other party is already registered for Zelle, they will usually receive the money within a few minutes. If not, they will receive a notification and can complete the payment in a few simple steps.
Some banks allow customers to register for the Zelle app using their online or mobile banking account number and password.
